Trivia time!

The earliest known Christmas tree decorations were apples. At Christmastime, medieval actors would use apples to decorate paradise trees (usually fir trees) during “Paradise Plays,” which were plays depicting Adam and Eve’s creation and fall.[4] 48 Commissioned by Sir Henry Cole (1808-1883), British illustrator John Callcott Horsley (1817-1903) invented the first Christmas card in 1843.

Apples may be easier to have on the tree than ornaments with a kitten!!!!!

Today was moving day.
I was at mom's new house
by 8 ugly o'clock
and got started.

The moving truck arrived
at 8:30 and we had
6 lovely men unpack it.

They were so nice to us
and by 2:30 
after much joking
and much silliness,
they had unpacked the truck.

Charlotte and Connie
who popped out to help us.

Mom's new neighbours
popped by with cards 
and gifts to welcome her too!

We worked until midnight
but the main floor looks
pretty good!

Now this very exhausted woman
needs some sleep.
