Trivia

Odin, a precursor to Santa Claus, had a flying horse with eight legs  The Viking god Odin is one precursor to the modern Santa Claus. According to myth, Odin rode his flying horse, Sleipnir (a precursor to Santa’s reindeer), who had eight legs. In the winter, Odin gave out both gifts and punishments, and children would fill their boots or stockings with treats for Sleipnir.

You got to love when a favourite holiday character, meets a legend of a mythical creature!!

Today started with a trip
out to Sparta for a gift pick up.
I have not been there
in a long time.....
when it gets nicer again
I am going to take Dad
to inspect the area in his wheelchair.

It was close enough
so we headed off to Aylmer
to check out The Bargain Shop.
We all found a few things,
but started home
as the snow started again.

On the way home we stopped
at Rustic Table and I found a gift
FOR MYSELF.
Drove everyone home,
and decided a nap was necessary
to me being able to function.
Slept for 2 1/2 hours!

By the time I got up,
it was time to meet up
for some supper with friends.
I made a stop at Dollar Tree,
dropped off a Tupperware order,
picked up a gift at Brix and Stix
and headed home to wrap.

The rest of the night
was spent wrapping more gifts,
cleaning and relaxing on the sofa.

Good night from John Street
