March 4th 2015

I started my day with coffee with the girls.
Not much happening on line,
so after lunch when I couldn't keep my eyes open
I decided a quick nap
would be a good idea
before Wednesday night Cadets.

I woke up 2 hours later.

The joy of having Crohns.
I am in a feeling sorry for myself mood right now.

It is not enough that I have a disease
that causes my own immune system to attack itself,
be allergic to the medications to help,
have doctors "ignore" symptoms
as soon as they hear the name of the disease,
lost count of my surgeries,
have a specialist with a gestapo trained nurse,
lost count of the test drugs,
have a family doctor
who believes the answer
to everything is marijuana,

and be on an immune surpressing infusion therapy...

I go get a kidney infection too!

(after a wonderful trip emergency in London)
side note:
I went in to emergency
with them knowing I was immune compromised
and it still took 7 hours to assess {IN RAPID ASSESSMENT}
an infection that they could have read
on the urine test taken at 1 hour after arriving!

I am now taking medications
that are supposed to be fixing that.

In conjunction with everything else,
I felt icky tonight.
So off I went to discuss my symptoms
with the local pharmacist.
According to her and her computer
these "helpful" medications
can cause - are you ready for this? -
extreme sleepiness
headaches
runny eyes
sinus infections
sore throat
general feeling of unwell
and may or may not end the kidney pain!
Oh! and I can't take a decongestant to help.

Naturally I am experiencing all of the above.

Holy crap the fix is often
worse than the symptoms.

My fix.

This was a delicious way to destress.
The 100g bar was on sale at Shopper's for $2.09.
I shoulda bought 2!!!!!!!!

oh well, another day starts in 10 minutes!

Good night from John Street.
