How do you describe a day like today?
My day started with shorts for the first time this year!
Judy and I packed a picnic cooler and waited for Dad to arrive from Beamsville.
He will be here for 5 days so we are trying to think of creative ways to entertain him.

The plan? A nice beach day.

What happened? hahhahahhahahhahahahha

It started pretty well, and Dad arrived at the house around 10am.
Judy had gone to get her first real manicure,

so Dad and I got the van packed and ready to go. This is kinda what it looked like after we managed to get all Judy's items in the van.

Finally we were ready to go get Judy. We stopped off to get her bloodwork forms, and as it was only 11am, I took her right over to get the tests done. Unbeknownst to me this little blood test was going to take them 55 minutes BEFORE they would even call her to the cubicle. Finally on our way, we stopped and picked up Chelsey and drove to Port Stanley. We found a great parking spot and the gazebo was empty. So we set up our table and Judy ran out to get the sand wheelchair. FUN! Dad got in this time with no problem and Judy took him down to the surf. Dad said the girls on display were worth the walk....

Back at the gazebo, Charlotte and Matt arrived and it was time for Mackie's orange-ade and fries! Yummmmmm With that all done we stroke it off the list! Dad was about to strike another one too.

Everyone headed out to play volleyball! Yes my one armed Dad played a couple sets of volleyball. A few regular players even came over to play with them. He was super proud of himself. I laughed so hard watching everyone play.

When we got back to the gazebo, my shady safe place, it was already time for Chelsey to head to work. Matt and Judy decided to take the boogie boards out to the water, and we went to watch for a while.

Dad and I said good bye to Charlotte, and we sat basking in the warm breeze under the gazebo. Dad even had a little nap. When we got tired of waiting for our surfing teens, Dad and I headed to GT's for a perch dinner and drinks. We got a great table overlooking the volleyball courts. While enjoying our drinks and waiting for our food, we were graced with a little entertainment by a VERY drunken woman on the beach.

She not only stripped, she had a little intimate time with the tree roots!

Eventually the police came and escorted her off the beach.

Cailyn made it just as Judy and Matt's burgers got to the table, so Dad and I sat and continued enjoying the beach and warm breezes while we waited for her meal.

Dad came back to Valleyview exhausted. We made plans for tomorrow and I headed home. Managed to get John's car back to the Mufflerman for repair, and headed for pyjamas. Very sad, I am having a Crohn's attack tonight.

Going to head for bed, and hope sleep will help.

Promised Aunt Sandra a ride to London's Penningtons tomorrow. Judy is going to go out with Grandpa for coffee and a lovely walk. We are planning a pizza party together after. Double cheese, double peperonni and bacon.

Good night
