Another sunny day.
No plans,
so at 1pm,
John and I took the dog 
AND the kitten
for a walk at Waterworks Park.

I am training Otter
to be a visiting pet at Valleyview.
She is already used to 
being on a lead,
so today we tested 
her walking skills on a leash.

She hated the ride to the park.
So it took about 10 minutes,
to settle her down at the park.
She was very curious,
naturally in anywhere muddy!

But after a few false starts,
she did a good job of coming
(and I had no treats!!
I forgot them)
and following the leash,
even over bridges,
past dogs of all sizes
and some geese!

When we met back up 
with John and Shooter,
she was pretty happy 
to prance along side him.

Many curious looks,
but she has to get used to strangers,
her vest and leash,
and odd noises.....
most people were polite,
asking pretty much the same questions,
and quite taken with the idea 
of a kitten being trained this way.

Home again,
I immediatley came on line,
to see the photos of us
that were taken at the park....
SO CUTE!

A lazy afternoon as
we cuddled up on the sofa
and watched season 4 
of Hell on Wheels on tv.

A simple supper of soup
and grilled cheese sandwiches,
then John popped over
to change one of Mom's headlights,
while I took a shower
and folded a load of laundry.

Yup excitement abounds here
on any holiday.
