October 6th 2015

Went to toonie Tuesday at ScrappinGreatDeals today and bought a really cute winter kit with bunnies on it. The project today was glitter and ink and a polar bear stamp. cute.

Did a pit stop at Talbotville Berry Farm, got some veggies and some secrets to share later this week!

A quick trip for a few groceries, and I got a chance to see Annie and Shaylin, who are looking no worse for the wear, after the deer accident yesterday. Glad to hear muscles were all that was hurt.

Home to deal with 10lbs of carrots for the freezer. Judy and I made quick work of them, cleaned, cut and bagged for the freezer.

Judy made fries and weiner wraps for supper with Caesar salad,
while I tried to feel like I was accomplishing something.
BUT
that something would have been a LOT smoother if my new printer had co-operated!! I had to fight with it, and in the end re-register it. UGH! In the end I did finish what I wanted tom but its almost midnight now.

Day 2 of the organizer posted and now it is finally time to say:

Good night from John Street

DAY 2 - Oct 6th:

TO DO TODAY:

When planning for the holiday season, why try to wing it?
Making lists or notes or post its, keep them scattered, lost and never to be found again. To stay centered as you plan the holidays and get into the seasonal swing of things, find a place in your home to  create an activity center devoted to your holiday planning, and a place to keep your Christmas binder. A dedicated spot to make lists, menus and keep on track.

Your activity center may start as a place to make lists, but soon enough need to become an efficient place to prepare other things as well. Pick your place in a comfortable place. A comfy chair, a small desk or spot at the table is perfect.

Next choose a way to store your planning tools at that spot. A simple basket will work but so will a small plastic rolling drawer table which can double as a wrapping center!

Now work out what YOU need.  Some tools you may want close at hand regularly:
HOLIDAY TIP OF THE DAY

Inventory your Holiday video and music collection.

Christmas movie night is a cherished tradition in a lot of families. Cuddling together with popcorn and hot chocolate, provides a needed stress break during a hectic season... and its fun.

Check the condition of what you have, note the ones you are missing or would like to add this year.

This is the time of year stores have ample stock of old holiday DVD’s at great prices. Do not wait until the night you want to watch Christmas Vacation to go looking for it. From last year’s experience, the night is a failure when you do.
