October 9th 2015

Take the good, and the good, and the good with some bad attitudes.
Over-tired people in this house, failing appliances, colder weather and a lot of change are causing a few short fuses.

All in good time. Everything will be on a schedule again and it will all calm down.

I was not inspired to do much today but I did get a few chores I have been putting off accomplished.

Greg and John went and got us a freezer, and after de-icing it, our meat and veggies are  all safe once more.

I have 1/2 of my homemade (crafted) turkey ready for Monday, now to get the other people going!

Well I am heading to bed,
so good night from John Street.

DAY 5 - Oct 9th:

TO DO TODAY:

Begin a master gift list. Be more specific in your planner, record gift ideas, shopping or wrapping. You can even keep these year to year, to track what you gave and what they liked.
Our family has made a great list we copy and hand out at Thanksgiving, asking each family member questions about their hobbies, favourite colours, chocolate bars and cereals... to dollar store suggestions, homemade gift wishes and gift card desires. Its a great way to get ideas for hard-to-buy-for family members! Create a fun one with the object to be fun yet helpful.

Print enough for those attending dinner and email out the rest.

HOLIDAY TIP OF THE DAY

Start saving boxes. Be green this year and recycle as many boxes as possible, for shipping or wrapping.

ORGANIZED TIP OF THE DAY

Decide in advance of organizing how many of each item you plan to keep. That is true of pens, DVD`s or items of clothing. If you have decided on 3 sweaters, go choose your favourite 3 and donate the rest. Pick a number to cut the clutter!
