July 18th 2016

Up and out the door by 10am.

It was the day to see my specialist.
Back to North London
as it was clinic day at St Joes
not at Victoria Hospital.

On Remicade day coming up,
I will be tested.
1)They will be testing how much remicade
is actually in my system.

2)They will also be testing my blood counts
as they continue to be low.
This test will determine if I need
another blood transfusion.

3)They will be testing my B12
***sidenote: did you know
when they test your B12
the number they get is good for 5 years?
That is how much you keep in storage
in your body!
This test will determine how they will
be proceeding with B12 shots.

4)They are also testing my iron
which is still low enough to be a concern,
and may end up in another iron transfusion!

But!
The numbers show the remicade is working
and my inflammation level is low!

So, we start to head for the parking garage
when both of us realize
NEITHER OF US
knew what level we parked on!
duh! duh! duh! duhhhhhhhh!
Thank goodness there were only
six floors to check
and we had a distinctive parking spot!

We celebrated my check up
and finding the truck
with lunch at WOK BOX
(my first time)
and it was lovely...
tasty...
and hot on serving.

Then it was off to Michaels
to check out clearance and sale items.
Successfully finding enough
to keep us entertained for over an hour!

Not satiated with JUST those sale items
and not being able to find our co-conspirator
who said she was on her way,
we headed to South London Michaels!
There she was standing at the door
wondering where WE were! LOLOLOL
Joined by Judy too at this point
we dug through the store
finding a few more deals.

Home again,
Judy and I discussed
exactly what we could do to accommodate
an unexpected problem
with our 25th anniversary day.
I want to keep it small,
and personal,
but still memorable.
We think we have it worked out now.
Tomorrow night we will iron out the details.

She was off to dinner
with Greg's parents tonight.
John and I had a very relaxed supper,
and quiet evening.

I have started working on
the Disney planning emails.
30 days, each email touching on a different subject
with reminders and links
to something new.

Tomorrow I am going out on a hunt
for bon·bon·nières
for the big day.
25 years.... wow.
I do not want anything fancy,
just a day to enjoy.
John has to work in the early morning
and at midnight
so we have to arrange what to do
around him getting some sleep too!

I think I will cook him
a big meal tomorrow night!

Good night from John Street
