I forgot what relaxation was until today.

I slept until 10,

did minimal chores,

ate cold pizza for lunch,

ran a few errands with John,

watched tv,

had a bbq supper

and roasted marshmallows

in the firepit.

A better temperature

makes a better mood

for everyone.

I am thankful for the relief

and enjoyed seeing John

be able to work on some projects

in his garage today too.

He even managed

to finally hang the door

in the dining room

and the cat

hates it!

John also decided

he did not want a birthday party

next weekend.

So,

I canceled it,

rather that prolonged fighting

about it all week.

He just wants a bonfire

on the Saturday night.

So be it.

No sense in beating a dead horse.
