AUGUST 6

August 6th 2017

Valleyview lunch day
and our turn to bring it.
Met Dad in the garden
and we had brought him
an iced coffee which he loved.

After a bit of a visit
it was off to mass at 10:30.
We talked for about an hour
and then John pushed Mom
in a manual  wheelchair
with Dad following in his electric,
to the spot Dad loves on the side path,
while I went and picked up lunch.

It was KFC for lunch today.
Dad loved his chicken tenders
but was so happy to have real French fries
and an ice cold diet pepsi.

We laughed until about 1pm
when Dad had had enough
and it was his nap time.
He was in great form today
and it was a lovely day for a picnic lunch.

We got home
and it was time to start working
on this garden shed.
We started by sorting
John's mini lumber yard.
I cut the less impressive pieces
into bonfire/woodstove size
and he sorted the good lumber.

By 6pm,
we had chips and dust down,
the spikes for the walls in
and an unfortunate error
put us behind while John repaired 
the electrical line into the garage.
OOOPPPPPS

Mom came for a bbq supper
and we ate and ate
and laughed... and ate.

I had a sudden urge to garden,
and got some trimming done
all over the property.

In for the night,
John was sore and exhausted,
so he hit the showers,
while I made sure the kitchen
was cleaned up and food away,
the last load of laundry folded and away,
the bed made
and then I jumped in the shower.
I was covered in wood dust. YUCK

Shooter and Otter had had,
a busy day running around outside
and were passed out.

We watched an episode
of something he watches,
and then he passed out.
I am ready to read.....
a little quiet time with Archie.
