JUNE 18

June 18th 2017

Happy Father's Day.

Early morning here.
Showers and then we divided up,
half to go pick up Dad
and half headed fro Holy Angels.
We all met back up in the front pew!

A little off today,
Dad and I walked back to our house.
John drove the van back,
Judy took her car off to do a couple pick ups,
and Mom was off to get Tink
(and some shorts).

It was a little overcast but lovely
until about noon.
The guys opened their gifts
which included lobster tails for Dad
and crab legs for John.
It would prove to be a yummy bbq.

We had to move the table into
the empty bay of the garage
because the wind was taking stuff
right off the table.

All settled in,
the bbq started
and the table got set.
Moms week to cook:
  1. steaks
  2. XL shrimp in garlic butter
  3. lobster tails
  4. crab legs
  5. coleslaw
  6. cauliflower
  7. fresh green beans
  8. homemade rhubarb pie for dessert.
We were all stuffed.
I loaded the dishwasher
and got it running.
Judy headed for a nap
(she had to work tonight still)
and Dad announced he was ready to go back
when we saw the black clouds roll in.

They got Dad loaded up
just as the rain started.
Good timing.
Unloading is easy as it is a covered doorway.

We (3) sat watching the rain
babbling and laughing until after 4
when Mom announced it was home time.
Got her all packed up and off
with plans for a shower and a book.

John and I stayed in the garage until about 7,
cleaning out his big red tool box.
It is stuffed full of crap and parts
and needs a good cleaning.
He did a good job of downsizing the crap
and organizing what was there.

We came in and got cleaned up.
Pizza and The Ranch was in the plans here.

I want to send a big shout out to Mr Kilmer.

Dennis took a set of rusty cream coloured
industrial ceiling fans this week,
and somehow managed to get them looking
AMAZING as my gift for John.
Not only are they chromed
but he put them together and delivered today.
They will look great in the man cave
and now the man cave will have a little Kilmer
in it forever too.
Thanks so much Dennis.

Good night from John Street
