mar27 EASTER

March 27th 2016

Happy Easter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We were all up and ready (?)
for the 9am mass
at Holy Angels this morning.

It was a longer mass than usual,
but we got through it
and then headed off to Burger King,
where I gave everyone
their personalized Easter baskets from me.

John's basket was completely
made up of peanut butter items,
including peanut butter cheerios,
as that is what he gave up for Lent.

Greg's basket started with a box of Trix
(thank you Lale)
and I filled it with his favourite
little treats and yummies.

Judy, hahhahahah,
helped me pick out most of her items!
Her basket started
with a big box of corn flakes
and a mega can of hairspray
and some favourite candies.

After a yummy breakfast at Burger King,
we loaded up into the truck,
and started the 2 hour trip to Beamsville.

When we got there,
it took a bit to unload,
and get the table set,
but then we all got to work.
John went outside
and helped Mom do some spring clean up
and got her wrought iron items
out of storage for her.

We sat in the sunroom.
When we left St Thomas
the weather had been beautiful.
When we got to Hamilton
it was significantly cooler
and very very foggy.
By 3pm,
it was beautiful
and we even opened the doors.

Lots of food, laughter and thankfuls
and too many desserts.
We finished the day with talking
and de alcoholized strawberry daiquiris.

Judy and Greg made a trip
over to see the Harber girls,
and when they got back
it was after 10pm.

We got word from Manitoba
that my Aunt Elsie had passed away
after lunch today.
Many fond memories of the times
we had spent together.
I am glad she went peacefully
and is no longer suffering.

After a few pictures of Tinker
and some goodbyes,
I was voted driver of the night,
and we started out on the 2 hour trip home.

Happy Easter to all my friends and family!

Good night from John Street
