April 28th 2015

Some days should be savoured.

Although my day began on a rather sour note,
it had no where to go but up,
and UP it went.

I accomplished a lot of online things I had to do.
I did not brave getting dressed
in more than clean pjs because I did not feel well.

until we realized,
do laundry or else....

So Judy and I had a quick pasta dinner,
and it was off to the laundromatt.
I will miss those trips when she moves away.
We have great conversations,
clean our purses out,
and share the workload.

Tonight she also interviewed me,
for a sociology project.
It was on long term marriages,
and she had about 40 questions
"to answer honestly".

Some questions made me think,
about how long John and I have been together,
and all we have endured,
where others failed.
Her questions were not hard,
or even intrusive...
but they were very thought provoking.

We finished the laundry,
and I got a text about cadets.
It made me think
about all Judy, John and I have been through,
weathered illness and stupidity,
and came out the other side
the better and stronger for it all.

My daughter is an inspiration to me.
I am beyond proud of her some days,
and have no words to express my love on others.

Suffice to say
she is my daughter.
She is my amazing,
beautiful,
brilliant
and special military bound little girl.

Her goals being met,
are not only a testament to her character
but to her upbringing
by the family we have surrounded her with,
and the love and trust
we gave her to accomplish her goals.

Good night from a happy mom on John Street
and a proud dad in a rig near Woodstock.
