What a great way to spend
The last day of June.

Up and showered by 9am.
Picnic packed and I was
Completely ready to go on time.

We started our Sparta tour today
At the Horton farmers market.
8 of us met and we were off.

Stop#1 Harvest Table
I love curiosity shops.
Places where there is too much to see.

Stop #2 Lavender Farm
I have never been.
It is beautiful.

Stop #3 Sparta Candles
Stop #4 Whistle Stop Market

Stop #5 Port Bruce
We all had packed picnic lunches
And we were starving.
Found a picnic table under a tree.

Stop #6 Winter Wheat
We dawdled around here,
There was lots to look at
And a wonderful breeze.

Stop #7 Mackies
Ended up being a drive by
As we could not get a parking spot.

Stop #8 Shaws
Where 4 of our party dared to order
The "Elgin Special" and finished it!

Break time.
We split up at 4
But John promised to light a bonfire
For us at 8pm.

A mighty headache
So I laid down until 6pm.
Changed into a summer dress
And I headed to check the yard,
Pull out snacks,
And get ready for company.

More people than I expected
But 2 dozen hot dogs,
Lots of laughs and stories
And some inappropriate
doggie attentio later....

It is finally time to say good night
AND
Good bye to June.
