Saturday September 20th 2014
It was a very early morning for our little family.
Today was the college and university fair at the Metro Toronto Convention Center.
We were on the road by 9am and after a couple Timmie`s stops,
many road construction and traffic delays
but we finally arrived in downtown Toronto.
We had to walk to the convention center
and pass through a metal detector before being allowed in.
We were there for only one booth. We went directly to the RMC presentation room. The presentation was incredibly informative. We learnt more in the 15 minute presentation than Judy could get from her guidance counselors in 3 years. For the first time so far Judy was able to speak directly to students and officers and recruiters in person. She was thorough. She had 2 pages of questions. She asked a great deal about the best way to ensure her acceptance into the ONLY college she is interested in attending.
She now is faced with an incredible amount of work! The applications are being accepted NOW. 5000 will apply and only 150 will get in. She has a large amount of work to do...... quickly. I hope she can count on the talents of her many assorted aunts to help her get this done. There are many parts to the application process including a written portion, medical, an aptitude test and an interview.
Our trip home was the longest, most boring trip ever. Lakeshore was a giant traffic jam, construction down the Gardiner, and after finding somewhere to eat, we ran into an accident in Cambridge.
Finally we arrived home. John had to take a nap, Judy had a babysitting job and I ran out for groceries. The day went by so fast. So much happened it was very overwhelming.
After a shared pizza, John left for work. I watched Davinci Code.
I am thoroughly excited about my next series.
Tonight I found NCIS season 1 2 3 and 4 for $12.94 each!
Next weeks thrill will be to watch the ever handsome Mark Harmon!
