Bring your own fire wood
(We are running low at the bonfire)

Bring your own meat.

We introduced this last year (?)
Because no one would RSVP
And we never knew how much
Food we would need!
So now everyone brings
A little something for the potluck,
And whatever meat they want bbq'd.

Tonight we had steaks, onions, beans,
Mushrooms, hamburgers, potatoes
And pork chops on the grill.
5 salads and cake made our buffet.

It was beautiful out,
Although it cooled off quickly,
The man cave was open for business
And Dad made it on paratransit.
We finished the night
With the second bonfire of the year.

A quick clean up,
And we are in bed exhausted.
