DECEMBER 23

December 23rd 2017

Busy day,
That just got more and more
Added as I went.

I took the lunch shift
And got dad to eat today.
He is still in ICU.
So,
Dad was asked
And he decided
We would have chinese food
And only open homemade gifts.

We will have a turkey dinner
When he gets out.
John has promised
To go get him shaved
And cleaned up for us.

I am going to get the lobby area
Ready for our dinner
And gifts too.

I did manage to finish
A bunch of nagging small chores
And made a last minute
Decision to cook
A stuffed chicken dinner
With all the fixings
On Christmas day.

Mom stopped by
After the hospital visit
And had a Pizza and movie night
With us.

Now I am too tired to go on.

Ancient peoples, such as the Druids, considered mistletoe sacred because it remains green and bears fruit during the winter when all other plants appear to die. Druids would cut the plant with golden sickles and never let it touch the ground. They thought it had the power to cure infertility and nervous diseases and to ward off evil

Good night from John Street
