Sundays begin at Valleyview.
Lunch with Dad
and it was my week to bring it.


Mass is at 10:30.
We were busy laughing 
that Dad is pretty much done 
all HIS shopping
and homemade gifts...
while we all are still struggling.

Came home and had a one hour break,
then to the kitchen
where I made butter tarts
and started a roast beef dinner.

House straightened up,
we sat down to listen to Judy
explain the merits of some
VERY expensive kitchen knives.

Mom arrived JUST as I was 
finished the gravy
and we had dinner.

Then off to the sofa
and watch White Christmas together.

A lovely day.

Christmas pudding

originated as a 14th century porridge called 'frumenty' that was made of beef and mutton with raisins, currants, prunes, wines and spices.
