While it is unclear who created this very original, unofficial holiday, some pet organizations and companies view it as a “purr”fect day to spend some time understanding your companion(s).

How to Celebrate?

  • Invite your cat to hang out with you. This may involve bribing her/ him.
  • Try and find out all their burning questions. This may require more bribing.
  • Once you have their questions, try and answer them. We are pretty sure that most of their questions revolve around how adorable they look while trying to destroy the few earthly possessions you have.
  • If all else fails, just spend time with your cat and let it know that you love them.
  • Spend some time learning about feline behavior.
  • If you don’t have a cat, perhaps it is time to visit your local shelter and adopt a cat so you can participate in this awesome holiday or visit a friend who does.

Did You Know…

… that a group of cats is called a clowder, while a group of kittens is known as a kindle

Today is Wednesday.
It has now been 27 days since this stupid
cold or whatever this is started.
I am sooooooo tired of this.

We did have a wonderful
meeting about the Saturday crop.
I managed to wrap the raffle items
and finished wrapping the guest gifts.

I fixed a frame,
I revamped a wreath...
I even made nachos for supper.

I took more decorations down,
packed them up and labeled the totes.

Then John and I sat down
and finished watching a few of his
Netflix "unfinished" shows.

Got John off to work.
Fed the kitties,
put away all the Christmas dvds
and cleaned the kitchen.

Now it is time to find a comfy
place in my big bed and sleep...
a little more of whatever this is away.

Good night from John Street
