I don't wanna I don't wanna!
Said the sleepy woman.

Get up get up get up!
Said the nasty alarm clock.

Just a little longer just a little!
I tried to plead.

Get outa that bed!
Crowed the rooster alarm.

Suddenly I bolted out of bed,
Much later than intended,
And hurriedly got dressed
And promptly out of here.

A pit stop at Timmies
For an iced coffee and donuts
(WHEN did 12 donuts go
Up to $9.99?!?!?!?!)
A speedy trip over to Valleyview
And surprisingly arrived on time!

Instead of coffee Thursday,
The LDO ladies helped residents
Make birthday cards today.
It was a fun morning.

Just as we finished,
Dad's surprise guests arrived.
His 2nd cousins from Manitoba
Are touring for a vacation
And added us as a stopover.
He was quite happy to see them.

At lunch,
He decided he was very tired
And said his good byes
With plans for a nap after lunch.

We took our visitors
To see Jumbo
And then the elevated park.
Park?!?!?!?
I am kind of shocked
at what we found up there,
And think what a pity
All that money was wasted.
It looks like an abandoned project site
And that's giving it some leeway.

Off to the condo
To have a drink and chat.
Making plans for a 6:30 meet up.

I rested for the afternoon,
But did get 2 loads of laundry done
And the dishwasher loaded.

We picked up mom,
Met up with our visitors
And off to Port Stanley.

We remembered the scooter this time
So Mom finally seen the new pier,
Which had waves
Splashing over the walls tonight!

We got into Mackies
JUST as the storm hit.
It was like watching a movie
Where the evil takes over the sky.
The black just rolled out
Over the lake.
Then, just as suddenly was gone.

We said our good byes
In the parking lot and headed out.

Back home I made small progress
With a finicky job in my scrap room,
While watching Oscar.

Tomorrow is a job list day.
We leave early Monday morning,
So I have lots of small stuff to do.

AND coffee at 11 with the girls
To say good bye.
