I scrapbook in the morning
Piled wood in the afternoon.

...pulls out personal soap box.

I am being inundated with memes,
Gif's and personal thoughts on the
Right way to proceed forward
During (note I say) DURING this pandemic.

#1 for those who live in fear
You never lived in fear before
So how about downgrading to
Careful about what you do
#2 we don't leave this house so we
Are staying safe
How about realizing anyone in your
Own home could be a carrier? That
Anyone from the making to the delivering
all that takeout could be a carrier?
YOU are no safer to me than a stranger.
#3 I bleach/lysol wipe everything.
I have no immune system 2 weeks
of every 4 every month. My specialist
DOES NOT want me using antibacterial
Soap and bleach on everything
24 hours a day. I need some exposure
To some germs or I will be hospitalized.
So wash your hands. Don't spit. If that's
What they are telling me... that's good enough.
#4 a mask doesn't guarantee!
It has to be used correctly AND be clean!
It is a preventive tool like special gloves
Workman use when operating equipment.
Anyone ever used an oven mitt
That had a hole in it or was wet?
Did it protect you completely???
#5 gloves for what?
If you are using gloves and take them off
Shove them in your pocket and reuse
All you did was move germ contamination
To a different time! Wash your hands.
#6 6' rule. Social distance rules have to
Now be applied to everything and it's hard!
You forget! I have done it in grocery stores
And at Valleyview and even in my yard.
6' is the right distance and once you
Get used to it, when you get too  -
You notice and correct. Just remember to
Correct it when you realize it. Stay safe.
#7 family. I think it's funny the odd things
People have said that make them feel
Safe. We have not left our homes in 8 weeks
We let the hubby or just I do all the groceries.
It doesn't matter who has to go out. If they
Are not being safe or they come in contact
And don't isolate for 2 weeks, who knows
What they brought in. People have to be
Very careful but short of living in a bubble
And having sterilized everything that comes
Into your house including your people,
There ARE NO guarantees. Just be careful
And do not panic. Do your best and live.
#8 find a way to stay in contact!
Online, phone, email.... Separating yourself
From everyone is not good for you
Mentally anymore than licking someone is.
#9 keep busy and turn off the tv.
Air out the house and you too. Its weather
Like this that will kill germs in your house.
Fresh air is good for you mentally
And physically.
#10 do NOT tell anyone how to live! If they
Are choosing to do something let them. It does
Not affect your health unless asked do not offer
You personal opinion or something you
"Read that might be true".

We had a bbq and social distancing bbq
Last night for those few who are stuck at
Home completely alone. As our yard is
Large enough, everyone had their own table
And chair, personal utensils and served
Themselves from the bbq.

We found a couple interesting ways
To deal with items like bowl of slice
cucumbers had to be in personal size
Dishes and we each needed a personal
Serving spoon, but we also had hand sanitizer
For use if we ran into a 2 touch.
Everyone stayed in their own space.
What will be an issue is bathroom for
This kind of visit! No one used ours so
It was a short trial.

Good night from John Street
