Happy Easter\April Fools Day!

Up and getting ready
For an early arrival at church
So we could get a seat.
Not even time for a coffee!!!

But I looked spring-y
And was still comfy.

Mass was super long,
So I dropped John off to get the van
And hurried over to do coffee.

I had sent Mom home to relax,
And which was good because
On arrival,
I sent Dad for a nap!!!

John and I were job free
Until 1:30!
He headed out to drop off
A couple "kidlet" Easter gifts
And I made us breakfast.

Not too much problem
Getting Dad in and out of the van
And we arrived for dinner
In plenty of time.

Gifts were fun!
And then French onion soup
And caesar salad!
Dinner was eclectic.
Spicy meatballs, mashed potatoes,
Brocolli, asparagus, brussel sprouts,
Crumbs chicken, cointreau
and lemon meringue pie for dessert.

Lots of laughs, silly jokes
And full tummies.

Suddenly
It was after 7 and we needed
To get Dad back.
Getting in and out of the van
Was not as easy when he was tired.

Made it home in plenty of time
To catch the last run of:
Easter Parade on tv.
Love that movie... sang away
The rest of the night.

Tomorrow,
Back on track.
So we start the countdown to my
50th Birthday...... 26 days from now.
Let the planning begin.
