I did not want to get up,
But I did.

Dressed up
In a springy coloured outfit
We headed for church.

From church we headed off
In separate directions.
John went and picked up
The creamsicle cupcakes
I had ordered the Bake E Ree.

Mom and I headed off to Valleyview.
I got the coffee going.
3 pots of coffee, I of tea
And 1 pot of iced French vanilla
All in 20 minutes!!!!!

Lunch together was coleslaw
And make your own subs.

We left there
And John and I ordered
my 50th birthday cake(s),
Then off for a drive together.

When we got home,
We got changed and headed
To the backyard.
Yup!
It was time to spring clean!

Raking, new bbq, furniture in place
And pond running
Where our 6 fish popped up
To say "hi" and that they survived
A winter in the pond.

Shooter and Otter were busy
Sniffing , rolling and chasing
All over the yard.

We were bbq'ing hamburgers
And John called Mom to see
If she felt like joining us... she did.

I set up the table
While John completely filled
A composter to the top!

Dinner was yummy.
John decided he wanted to
"Burn stuff" and so!
On April 22nd we had our first
Bonfire of 2018.

We were a little sad to find out
All the flavoured marshmallows
We collected last year were stale.
Booooooo!

Unfortunately, it cooled off
Really really fast!
So out bonfire guests left,
And I came in, cleaned the kitchen
And sat with a blanket
To warm up and rest.

Bedtime.
It's my busy busy birthday week!

Job #1 is to take control.
Job #2 is to take back my life.
Job #3 is to evaluate the situation.
Job #4 is to keep detailed accounts.
Job #5 is to remember I am not alone.
Job #6 is to enjoy.
