Early morning call from Valleyview.

Dad is on oxygen and resting.

I got up and decided

It was a playful work day.

John and I spent the day

Doing itty bitty chores, 

Like painting and reupholstering

A patio table and chairs!

From this: 

To this:

We painted and placed

Garden statuary in the back,

Agreed to build a new fence 

With our neighbour in july.

I made bbq chicken

And banana bread.

Then had mom over for supper

And some take out.

John built her 2 new fans

And emptied her "I can't open it"

 Vacuum cleaner.

We did some garage cleaning

And planted a couple more planters.

Walked up to the legion

With a stash of old flags they will

Dispose of properly.

Stopped at a neighbours who

Is selling some high end tools

From his father's estate

And bought John's birthday gift.

Home again

We lit the bonfire 

And managed to eliminate 

A bunch of cardboard. Yay.

Bed well after midnight

Time for sleep.
