Good bye June
I do not know where you went
But suddenly you are over.

Yesterday
I was apparently determined
To try to use every ounce
Of energy this body had
And was quite successful

6am (?????) Up to answer the door
7am got John off fishing
7:15am getting gas
7:25am treated myself to breakfast
7:45am at a craft yard sale
8:15am called Mom said get dressed
9:15 picked up Gwen too
9:30am on the 402 to Brantford

Shopped at the liquidation center
Lunch at McDonalds
And returned everyone home by 3.
Toured Gwen's new condo too.

Picked up a couple items
For the craft weekend,
Ran to the grocery store,
Rushed home and unloaded car.

WHERE is John???
It's almost 4pm.

Made the right coleslaw and dip
For the BYOM and potluck
When the first guests arrived.

WHERE is John???
It's almost 5:00pm.

Toured the back yard,
Set up the cushions,
Found out our new "Berry" tree
Is actually a mulberry
And chatted in the gazebo.
Connie and Mom showed up
Which gave me a chance
To run up and get cleaned up.

WHERE is John???
It's almost 6pm.

Well, I was hungry so I lit the bbq
While they played dominoes.
Set up supper
And grabbed a drink.

WHERE is John???
It's almost 6:30pm.

I had been calling with no luck
When the phone rang.
They "did not know" what time it was
And we're headed back.
We ate supper... yummmm
More guests appeared.

WHERE is John???
In the driveway at 7pm
He has officially been gone 12 hours.
They did not have a cooler
Of drinks and food....?
They proceeded to gutt the fish
Ewwwwwww
Back to dominoes and chatting.
More guests and a bonfire.
3 kinds of marshmallows so far
For the pit this year.

WHERE is John???
It's almost 11pm.
Shower with a severe sunburn.

Today is more relaxed.
Coffee and lunch at Valleyview,
A bit of gardening and there,
John is popping over to help Mom
Do something,
It's his last day of vacation,
So who knows what
he wants to accomplish
Or even can with that sun burn.
