AUGUST 15
August 15th 2017
Literal translation can be
infinitely hurtful if you take
a sentence and apply it to yourself
without studying the context.
I did quite a few chores today
before heading out to book club.
I found the 2 chapters
we were discussing infinitely interesting
but concluded that, maybe,
I had actually not put any context
into a line I had read,
and then applied it to myself,
causing me to question
my appearance to others.
After much chatting,
criticism and helpfulness,
I concluded I needed to reread
that part to clarify what it had intended
to pass along to me,
without taking it so personally.
I grabbed a sundae
on the way home
and I am heading to bed.
LDO paint day is on at 10am.
Need sleep.
Good night from John Street
