On this day in 1984, Joseph Philippe Pierre Yves Elliott Trudeau PC CC CH QC FRSC announced his retirement. October 18, 1919 – September 28, 2000 mostly referred to as simply Pierre Trudeau, or by the initials PET. He was a Canadian politician who was the 15th prime minister of Canada and leader of the Liberal Party, between 1968 and 1984, with a brief period as Leader of the Opposition, from 1979 to 1980. His tenure of 15 years and 164 days makes him Canada's third longest-serving Prime Minister, behind William Lyon Mackenzie King and John A. Macdonald.
Today was the impromptu crop.
It is a small, fun play day.
Today was no exception.
17 ladies braved the beastly
Morning weather to find Union
Just sitting in the sunshine!
A delicious lunch prepared by
My partner Jocelyne
Of maple sausage and bacon
Fruit cocktail and princess pancakes.
The hash browns need a new recipe.
A silly afternoon of
Raffle tickets and purse searches.
I served a supper of chicken chowder,
Cornbread and salad.
Everyone seemed full.
Packed up
And cleaned up by 8:30.
Home by 9pm.
Now I want my bed!!!!!
I am so very sore
And so very tired.
I need the rest
Tomorrow is Dad's birthday party.
Good night from John Street
